SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Industry leaders at the Thermoforming Conference paid a tribute to Frank Nissel, the late extrusion expert, during the annual awards dinner.
Mark Strachan, chairman of the Society of Plastics Engineers Thermoforming Division, started the event by talking about Nissel, whose career began in 1956. The long-time executive of Welex Inc. died Aug. 28, at age 88.
“He was a wonderful, larger-than-life person who we all knew and loved,” Strachan said.
Industry officials at the dinner stood for a moment of silence. |
